How long is the trip?
Most of our tours are 8 days long plus travel. Day 1 (Saturday) you arrive and day 9 (Sunday) you depart.
Our Aegean Isles tour is one day longer because it takes advantage of the July 4th holiday.
How many people will I be traveling with?
We specialize in small group touring so you can experience Greece up close. Each tour has between 4 - 12 women.
Are accommodations shared?
Yes. In the spirit of community, all guests will be (comfortably) sharing a room with other women. If you’re traveling with a friend and would like to room together, we will be sure to place you together.
Is there a minimum participation requirement?
Yes. If your particular tour happens to not fill up, we will work with you to arrange for another available tour date.
When should I book my flight?
Flights to and from Greece are not included in the trip cost. You will be notified as soon as your trip is confirmed so you can purchase your flights.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Although we'll be disappointed you won’t be able to join us on our one-of-a-kind adventures, we understand that sometimes life happens. In this case please see our cancellation policy for details on refunds.
Who can I expect to be traveling with?
Our groups of female travelers all have the same two things in common: they are full of wanderlust and are excited to make new connections. The only requirement is that all participants are 21 and older.
Can I book an exclusive tour for my group of friends?
Yes! If you have specific dates in mind, we can also customize a trip just for you and your friends. Depending on the number of participants, rates will vary. Contact us to find out more.
Can men participate?
Our scheduled tours are women-only. If you would like to book an exclusive tour for a co-ed group, HellaTravels can customize a trip for you. Contact us to find out more.
How can I find out more before I book?
Schedule a free consultation with us to talk it out - no commitment required. We will answer all of your questions.
What exactly is included?
Top-notch accommodations, inter-country travel, planned excursions and activities, photography, and planned meals are included in the cost of the tour. For detailed information about what is and is not included click here.
What kind of activities and excursions can I expect?
This will depend on your trip type. Excursions and activities can range from sailing, kayaking, yoga, pilates, bike tours, water sports, dining out, beach days, cooking classes, wine tastings and more!
Do I need to be in shape to participate?
While our trips require a good amount of walking and some activities and excursions that are more active, our focus is to stay within all of our participants' comfort level while having adventurous fun together. After all, we wouldn't be experiencing the "real Greek life" if we were always focused on being "on the go, go, go". If you are concerned, don't hesitate to reach out to us so we can walk you through your options. No woman left behind.
Why aren't all meals included?
Breakfast and one full course family-style meal will be provided every day. A sit down lunch in addition to a sit down dinner would interrupt our days too much and get in the way of other fun activities, so in order to maximize our time, lunch will usually be on you. They’ll be mostly on-the-go, and greek salads, gyros, and crepes are plentiful and affordable! Additionally, we strive to give our participants some flexible "me" time so they have room to explore on their own, or with new friends they make!
What kind of photos will be taken on the trip?
Photos will be a combination of candid as well as posed (say cheese!) photos of participants. These will be interspersed with a few landscape photos, but for the most part, they will be focused on you, the traveler.
How will I receive the photos from the trip?
We will send you a link to the photos after you return from your trip that will contain all the photographs from the experience. You can download as many as you please. You will also receive a select number of photos daily while on the trip so you may share as you go.
What does the detailed itinerary look like?
Your itineraries will be sent to you once you are signed up. Below is a sample itinerary:
Morning: After breakfast, we will be picked up and transferred to the island's port where our sailing excursion awaits. We will sail around the island, lay out on the catamaran's deck, and make stops at volcanic springs and private beaches for refreshing swims in the beautiful Mediterranean.
Afternoon: Following a full course lunch on the catamaran, we will return to our hotel and take a break to rest or explore the town at everyone's own leisure.
Evening: We will meet in the hotel lobby and a shuttle will take us to a nearby town to witness its famous sunset over dinner.
How should I prepare?
We will give you a detailed guide before your trip on what to pack, how to deal with the currency exchange, what to expect weather-wise, any paperwork you might need and so on.
What safety precautions should I take?
Greece is a very safe place to travel, despite the economic issues it has been experiencing. You will find many tourists, along with yourself, experiencing the generous hospitality the Greek people have to offer. As with any foreign destination, be aware of your surroundings and keep your belongings close to you as pick-pocketing does happen. We always recommend to travel light and to leave your most expensive belongings at home just to be safe.
How much should I expect to spend while I'm there?
Our tours are what we call 99% inclusive so you’ll find yourself spending most of your money on personal purchases. In general, we recommend calculating about 10-15 € per day for the few meals that are not included, plus any gratuities for the entire stay, such as for your drivers, bellhops, etc.
